The state of California has designated some air purifiers as toxic, literally. Know which ones are toxic and avoid them.  This list from the state of California shows you which ones are unhealthy.  Here is another list of ozone-generating purifiers.  You'll want to keep these out of your home as well.  Better yet, make the decision easy on yourself.  Pick up a Guardian Angel for your bedroom and a Guardian Air for your larger rooms today.  No sweat.  The machine is state-of-the-art.  It's the same technology that NASA uses on the Space Shuttle.

Carbonless, brushless motors. Light bulb lasts 2 years.  But even though the light shines it loses its strength to kill germs. Really need to replace the light every 20 months if you want full protection.  The light may start flickering when it begins to die.  Replace it before then. 

.3 microns is the minimum standard for HEPA filters.  Buyers say they just want a regular air purifier, which means they want something cheaper.  .1 micron-sized particles are much, much harder to trap.  But these tiny particles are the ones that cause all the damage to your lungs.  

Pollen, ranging from 5.0 to 50 microns, is among the easiest particles for cheap air cleaners to capture.

Because of this large particle size, seasonal allergy to airborne pollens is among the easiest to cure with air purifiers.

Motor driven powerhead.  Here is how it works:  The black washable cover is the first line of filtration.  Beneath that cover is the cylinder HEPA filter with the carbon inner lining that interacts with the UV light to produces ions that destroy bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens.  This not only cleans your air, it makes the air you breath healthier.  As my business card says "State-of-the-art machines that clean your carpet, laundry, and air."  There are essentially two chambers--there's the upper chamber and lower chamber.  The air passes through the upper chamber with the HEPA/Charcoal filter, get vaporized by the UV light and charcoal ionizing of the air, and is then passed through the bottom chamber. 

The HEPA filter on the Angel is good for 3 to 5 years.  It is not warranted for 3 to 5 years.  The warranty only covers against manufacturer's defects.  Got that?  Which means that every 3 to 5 years the owner will need to buy a replacement filter for his Angel if he wants to continue enjoying clean air in his home. 

The UV bulbs are permanently installed and are not replaceable.  They are part of the unit itself.

Find what other products the customers want.  Some customers have heard about the Rainbow Air Purifier.  But this product is not even in the same league as the Guardian Angel.  The Rainbow Air Purifier wafts out some fragrance locally and owners and their family sitting near think they're getting fresh air.  Ha!  This is called a purifier but it does not purify.  It blows fragrant air.  This cannot match it in price or in quality.
